I love US magazine’s “Who Wore It Best?” feature. However, they never include me. So I’ve decided to create my own, completely conceited version. Please take the time to vote. It’s vitally important (to me).
On Tuesday night, I was at the Boston Hot Pink Party, a fund-raiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, held at the Museum of Fine Arts. The dress code was “cocktail attire with a touch of hot pink.”

Custom-made suit and shirt, Chanel tie and pink pocket square from the Royal Bullring in Ronda, Spain
The following afternoon, I attended Party in the Park, a fund-raiser for the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, held under a tent on the Fenway. A luncheon to which the ladies traditionally wear hats, I decided to hold up the men’s side.

Hat by Empresa, Rome, decorated with peonies and purple stock; Ted Baker shirt; Trovata jacket; Rag and Bone trousers; vintage crocodile belt; scarf from a fleamarket somewhere
Which looked better?

Most definitely the Hatted man. the shirt is great, scarf even better AND the jolly smile most winning.
Definitely the Mad Hatter look. I’m having flashbacks to high school drama days. . . .
While I think you look spectacular in your suit with touches of pink, I prefer the more rakish, hat-wearing, vaguely 19th century look in the second photo! And of course, so stylish in both!
J-So…you look ridc hot in both and having had the HONOR of sitting next to you for BOTH of these events I would have to say thats its…..A TIE! You rocked ’em both. Now wasn’t that helpful? xx
The custom made suit and Chanel tie! Fabulous! The other…well…Quentin Crisp called from the grave and she wants her scarf back.
Jonathan,
i guess i am in the minority again, without a doubt the second out fit with the hat (and Ted Baker shirt ) is one of the most super fly outfits I have ever seen someone wear in Boston. I wish I had been the live to share in the pimpness. no disrespect to the classy smooth debonair, suit and tie, but for my money, my vote is for more funky freshness.
Personally, I prefer “B” best. I would have added a little something extra to the hat, something sparkly. (NOT that your personality needs the distraction.)
